Kamoa-Kakula’s Copper Smelter is the largest copper smelter in Africa with a capacity of 500,000 tonnes per annum. Fired up in late November 2025, it produced its first copper anodes just 5 weeks later. The ramp-up will continue throughout 2026, with completion expected by the end of 2026.
